Horseback trails offer the opportunity to get up close and personal with wildlife while exploring the natural Zambian landscapes.

Victoria Falls Horse Safaris operates Victorian style horse drawn carriages in and around Sun International’s Falls Resort complex, transporting you back to a bygone era of elegance and style.

They also offer exhilarating horseback rides from the Falls Resort along trails within the National Park. These trails offer stunning views of the Victoria Falls, as well as the chance of spotting game along the way.

HORSE BACK TRAILS

The Company offers clients exhilarating horseback rides from the Falls Resort. All riders, novice to experienced, will enjoy our leisurely trails within the confines of a National Park. Your guide will lead on trails offering stunning views of the Victoria Falls as well as the chance of game spotting along the way.

Horseback Trails have the following options

• 2 hours: offering an exhilarating horseback ride along trails within the National Park with stunning views of the Victoria Falls and Zambezi River.

Departure times between 07h00 and 15h00.

• Half day with lunch served at the stables: A horseback safari adventure through pristine African Bushveld followed by a delicious lunch served at the stables.

Departure time from stables at is at 08h00.

Trails take place through pristine African Bushveld with exceptional views of the Victoria Falls and Zambezi River. Large mammals are often seen during dry weather periods and bird-life is prolific. Refreshments are served en route.

Champagne breakfast trails are offered for those that would like a trail with a difference. They also cater for special occasions such as birthdays, honeymoons and anniversaries.

THE HORSE DRAWN CARRIAGES

The Company also operates two sturdy Victorian style carriages, finished in Royal Blue. They offer not only a feeling of nostalgia but also comfort and an elevated view, ideally suited for special occasions.

Our finely crafted carriages are comfortable and authentic, offering a truly unique way to tour the Falls Resort complex while taking you back in time to a bygone era of elegance and style.

The Company uses only horses that are specifically trained for carriage pulling. Smartly dressed and experienced coachmen are fully trained. They are knowledgeable in not only horse and carriage riding but also in the surroundings. As such, they are able to act as a source of information and take on the role of a guide for the duration of the trip.
